If you live, work or park in Coogee, a mobile pink slip means you don't have to burn half a Saturday chasing a workshop slot. We come to your driveway, garage, kerb or workplace, run the full NSW eSafety Check on the spot, and lodge the result electronically to Service NSW before we leave.

This page covers what to expect if you book with us in Coogee — pricing, timing, parking realities in this part of Eastern Suburbs, and the handful of failure items we see most often on cars registered around this postcode.

Pink slip pricing in Coogee

Our price is a flat $179 inc GST for cars, SUVs, utes and vans up to 4.5 tonnes. That includes the mobile call-out, the regulated $51 government inspection line item, and electronic lodgement to Service NSW. No booking fee, no fuel surcharge, no weekend loading.

If we find something that fails on the day, the free re-inspection window is 14 days — get the repair sorted, book the recheck, and we do the follow-up at no extra cost.

  • Flat $179 inc GST — includes call-out and Service NSW lodgement
  • Free re-inspection within 14 days of a fail
  • Afterpay available at checkout
  • 7am–7pm, 7 days a week

Where we inspect in Coogee

Coogee Bay Road, Coogee Beach, Randwick border — we cover the whole 2034 area and don't add a surcharge for tighter streets. Beach streets are metered — residential terraces one block back are workable.

We only need about two car-lengths of clear space, a bit of overhead clearance for the bonnet, and enough room to walk around the vehicle. Undercover carparks are fine — many of our Eastern Suburbs customers book us at their apartment garage. If access is unusually tight (steep basement ramps, gated dealer yards, secure fleet compounds) just flag it at booking and we'll confirm.

How the appointment runs

Book online in about 60 seconds. Pick a time between 7am and 7pm any day of the week. We confirm by SMS, arrive inside a 30-minute window, and the physical inspection itself takes 20–30 minutes for a standard car. You'll get the pass or the itemised fail list before we leave the driveway.

A pass lodges electronically to Service NSW inside a few minutes — you don't need to hand-carry any paperwork. Your rego renewal in your Service NSW account updates automatically and you can complete the renewal from your phone.

  1. Book online — pick a date/time between 7am and 7pm
  2. We arrive within a 30-minute window
  3. 20–30 minute physical inspection at your driveway
  4. Pass or itemised fail explained on the spot
  5. Electronic lodgement to Service NSW before we leave

Common fails on Eastern Suburbs cars

Cars driven mostly around Coogee tend to fail on the same short list of items every year: worn front tyres (inside edge from lots of low-speed turning), a brake light out, a windscreen chip in the driver's field of view, and — surprisingly often — a numberplate light globe. None of those are expensive to fix if you catch them before your renewal window closes.

If you'd rather pre-check yourself, walk around the car with the engine running and headlights on: all four indicators, both brake lights, high and low beam, reverse light, numberplate lights, and the windscreen wipers on a wet windscreen. If any of that isn't right, book the repair before the inspection — you'll save yourself a re-check trip.

What we don't do

We don't do blue slips (unregistered vehicle inspections) — those legally have to be done at a designated AUVIS workshop, not mobile. If your rego has been expired more than 3 months, or the car is coming from interstate, that's a blue slip job and we'll point you at the right station.

We also don't do heavy vehicle inspections above 4.5 tonnes, or CTP (green slip) — CTP is an insurance product you buy separately through any NSW insurer.

Common questions

Frequently asked.

How much does a mobile pink slip cost in Coogee?
Flat $179 inc GST. That includes the mobile call-out, the regulated inspection fee, and electronic lodgement to Service NSW. No weekend loading, no fuel surcharge.
Can you come to an apartment garage in Coogee?
Yes — undercover carparks, apartment garages and workplace carparks are all fine as long as we can walk around the vehicle and open the bonnet. Just flag any tight access at booking.
How long does the inspection take?
20–30 minutes for a standard car. You'll get the pass or the fail list on the spot before we leave.
Do I need to be home?
Someone needs to give us access to the vehicle and the keys. If you're at work we can meet you there instead — most of our Eastern Suburbs bookings are done at a workplace carpark.
What if my car fails?
You get an itemised list explaining exactly what needs repairing. Fix the items and rebook the re-inspection within 14 days — we do the recheck at no extra cost.
