Pink Slip Cronulla & Sutherland Shire 2026 — Mobile eSafety Check at Your Driveway
The Shire runs on cars — school runs, beach runs, work commutes across Tom Ugly's Bridge or the Princes Highway. A mobile inspector at Cronulla, Caringbah, Miranda, Sylvania, Kirrawee, Sutherland, Engadine, Menai, Gymea or any Sutherland Shire address means no bridge traffic, no workshop wait, and no missing a Saturday morning at the beach. Flat $179 inc GST, 7am–7pm, 7 days.

Sutherland Shire is one of the highest car-ownership regions in Sydney per household, and the geography — bounded by the Georges River, Botany Bay and the Royal National Park — funnels every workshop trip through one of two or three chokepoints. A mobile pink slip removes that entirely: we come to your Cronulla, Woolooware, Burraneer, Caringbah, Miranda, Sylvania, Kirrawee, Sutherland, Jannali, Como, Oyster Bay, Gymea, Menai, Engadine or Heathcote address with the full AIS diagnostic kit, run the eSafety Check on-site, and lodge to Service NSW before we leave.

Why mobile pink slip fits the Shire
- No Tom Ugly's Bridge, Captain Cook Bridge or Princes Highway detour — inspector comes to you.
- Weekend availability at no surcharge — book Saturday morning before the surf, we'll be done in 20–30 minutes.
- Older brick garages and driveways work fine — we need 2 clear metres around the car.
- Beach-adjacent salt corrosion is a known Shire failure category — we check chassis, brake lines and suspension underbody carefully.
- Cash, card, Apple Pay, Google Pay and Afterpay accepted at the door.
Salt-air specific checks (Cronulla, Woolooware, Burraneer, Sylvania Waters)
Coastal suburbs — especially anywhere within 500m of Bate Bay, Gunnamatta Bay or the Georges River saltwater reach — produce distinctive corrosion patterns that catch pink slips more often than inland examples. We give these areas extra attention on any Cronulla, Woolooware, Burraneer, Sylvania Waters, Dolans Bay or Yowie Bay inspection:
- Front and rear subframe rust — surface acceptable, structural = fail.
- Brake lines along the chassis — pitting, weep, or bulge = fail.
- Fuel filler neck and fuel tank straps — a common hidden rust point.
- Rear suspension mounting points — coil spring perches and control arm bushes.
- Body sill and door edges — pinhole rust from salt-laden air is common on 10+ year old cars.
What we bring to your Shire driveway
- Full AIS diagnostic scanner (OBD-II for post-2020 vehicles).
- Wheel-off brake pad measurement gauge.
- Torch and inspection mirror for undercarriage checks.
- Service NSW electronic lodgement tablet.
- Card, tap-and-go, Apple Pay, Google Pay and Afterpay-linked payment terminal.
- A written report on the day, PDF emailed within an hour.
Timing and access across the Shire
We publish live availability in the booking flow — 30-minute slots between 7am and 7pm, 7 days a week. For beachside Cronulla parking, a street parking bay works if there's 2 clear metres around the car; a driveway or garage is easier. Bundeena and Maianbar are covered by arrangement subject to ferry access — book with a 48-hour lead.
If you fail — free re-inspection within 14 days
A fail isn't lodged against your rego. You have 14 days to have items fixed by whichever mechanic you prefer (or a Shire workshop of your choice), and we come back for a free re-inspection to verify. No new call-out fee, no admin charge.
Frequently asked.
- Do you do mobile pink slips in Cronulla?
- Yes — mobile pink slips at any Cronulla, Woolooware, Burraneer, Caringbah, Miranda, Sylvania, Kirrawee, Gymea, Sutherland, Jannali, Como, Oyster Bay, Menai, Bangor, Illawong, Engadine, Loftus or Heathcote address. Flat $179 inc GST.
- Is a mobile pink slip legal in NSW?
- Yes — mobile inspectors operate under the same Authorised Inspection Scheme (AIS) licensing as fixed workshops. Results are lodged electronically to Service NSW before we leave.
- How much does a pink slip cost in the Shire?
- Our flat rate is $179 inc GST — same across Cronulla, Miranda, Sutherland, Menai, Engadine and every Shire suburb. No travel surcharge, no weekend loading.
- Do you cover Bundeena and Maianbar?
- Yes — by arrangement, subject to ferry access from Cronulla. Book with a 48-hour lead.
- Do you work weekends?
- Yes — 7am–7pm, 7 days a week, at the same $179 flat rate.
- My car is beachside — will it fail on rust?
- Depends on where the rust is. Surface rust or paint blistering is generally acceptable; structural rust in chassis rails, subframe, sills, or brake line fittings is a fail. We assess each item against the eSafety inspection standard.
- What happens if my car fails?
- We hand you an itemised fail report so you can fix items with your preferred mechanic, then re-inspect for free within 14 days.
- How long does the inspection take?
- 20–30 minutes for a standard vehicle with no fail items, plus 5 minutes for electronic lodgement.
- Can I pay by Afterpay?
- Yes — Afterpay is offered at online checkout on the $179. Four instalments of about $45, no interest.
- Do you do pre-purchase inspections in the Shire too?
- Yes — mobile pre-purchase inspections at any Shire address, flat $280 inc GST, written report on the day.
- Do you inspect motorcycles or trailers?
- No — motorcycles and trailers require a fixed AIS station. Our mobile service covers passenger cars, SUVs, utes and light commercial vehicles up to 4.5t.
- Can you inspect at a Cronulla apartment garage?
- Yes — as long as there's 2 clear metres around the car and standard ceiling clearance. Let us know if the garage is unusually low.
